Sugar Mill Cafe is a straightforward spot inside Daytona Beach airport that fits the niche of a quick-service café rather than a full dining experience. Located just past the security checkpoint near Gate 4, it serves as a convenient pit stop for travelers needing a coffee, snack, or light meal without venturing far from their gate.

The atmosphere leans toward functional airport café vibes—small, with limited seating that accommodates about a dozen people. It feels a little utilitarian, with views onto the apron and parked planes, which adds a low-key aviation backdrop but doesn’t create a lively setting. While seating is indoors only, the café’s compact size means it’s best visited during off-peak hours when crowds are minimal.

The menu offers typical café fare, including wraps like Veggie, Chicken, and Italian Meat Trio, plus grilled chicken salads and straightforward hot beverages from coffee to cappuccinos. Portions tend to be on the smaller side with prices that reflect airport convenience rather than local dining value, so this is more about grabbing something to tide you over than a leisurely meal.

Service is quick but can feel a bit rushed, which fits the transient airport crowd constantly moving through. If you’re in need of a quick breakfast or lunch before your flight, this café handles it with reasonable speed, though wait times can occasionally stretch, especially during busy travel windows. For those wanting a simple sandwich or a quick coffee fix while watching activity on the tarmac, it’s a functional choice without frills.

Locals or frequent travelers might appreciate having this option within the airport to avoid venturing out for a bite, especially since breakfast is served all day. The vibe is casual, with some customers mentioning friendly staff and relaxed bartenders, making it a decent spot for a low-key wait before flights. However, those expecting a spacious gathering spot or substantial meals will likely find it falls short of those needs.

It’s average like every other cafe in a airport. The service is fast, and rushed a little bit. The food is high priced for small portions, where other airport cafes around the US give slightly larger portions. Once again it’s a good thing to have in a small airport as it adds key values. The good didn’t taste the best. Atmosphere is like watching a parked plane and people working down there.

It’s a solid choice for a fast and good breakfast, lunch or snack at the Daytona airport. Breakfast is served all day! The tuna sandwich (ask for toasted bread) was excellent! Prices are actually reasonable for an airport “restaurant”....it’s more of a snack bar. It’s small but was not crowded. There is limited seating there but it right next to Gate 4 so there was no issue sitting down to eat! VictorB

Bartender was totally cool. Nice place to hang out while waiting for your flight.

This place is located inside the airport after security check in. It serves breakfast all day and offers a variety of lunch options including sandwiches, panini's, pizzas, burgers and salads. The grilled buffalo chicken wrap was pretty dry - I'd recommend asking for a side sauce. I'd also give yourself 20 minutes for your food order. Seating is pretty limited and ideal for 1-2 people. There is additional seating just outside the Cafe where there is room for 4 or more. This place is connected to The Junction (a bar) and food can be ordered from the bar. The Cafe offers a variety of drinks and snacks.

Gets the job done for pre-flight snacks. Wait times can be excessive. There could be more outdoor seating as well. Had a bagel here once which was rock hard. Employee was very apologetic and replaced it.

I believe this is the junction Cafe in the airport at Daytona Beach international it's the only venue sit down restaurant so what can I say except that it seems like there's a bar and a counter at the front that serves the food. Little bit confusing but adequate.

Typical unhealthy airport food ( pizza, burgers, sandwiches etc). Very impressed with the service and professionalism. Just two guys working- one at register, the other cooking. There was a large crowd of customers due to flight delays. They were very polite, efficient, and helpful. Good service in rush time is difficult to accomplish!
